Connective Tissue: Megan March & Mica Scallion

Megan March & Mica Scallion
Connective Tissue

August 22nd - September 13th, 2026

Opening Reception: Saturday, August 22nd, 7-10 pm

Persons Unknown is pleased to present Connective Tissue, a show of hard softness and soft hardness with two artists thinking from the inbetween of what tangles us together and what can be glimpsed when pulled apart. A two-person show featuring Megan March and Mica Scallion, both artists of material transformation and possibility. Scallion, with weaving and wrapping, transforms fibers into a facsimile of hardness of the brick wall, or softening the gleaming hard links of a binding chain. March, working and firing the very bodily texture of clay, wet and malleable, into a multiplicity of the body, a landscape to subsume the viewer into their own imagined interior.
Megan March is a Bay Area based interdisciplinary artist working in ceramic sculpture, sound, performance and 2D media. Her work explores narratives within the body regarding queerness/gender, complexities of motherhood, the potential of emptiness, resilience under systems of power, the human connection to nature, and the impact of these issues on our greater community consciousness and physical landscape.
Mica Scallion is a Los Angeles based textile, electronic media and 2D-visual artist. They log most hours experimenting with form and material at their loom in Lincoln Heights, weaving second-hand threads into use-as-art objects.
